The test room

Stand somewhere. See what you can claim. Then test it.

A number stands on a card. The card turns. Something in the room hides part of it: a table edge, a post, a window bar. What is hidden depends on where you stand.

Choose where you stand. The panel says what you can rightly claim from there. Then climb up and look.

What just happened

From the table, the top is hidden. You see a lower loop and a middle bar. It could be a 6. It could be an 8. Both are true to what you see.

From behind the post, the lower left is hidden. It could be a 9 or an 8.

Through the window, the middle bar is hidden. It could be a 0 or an 8.

Every place is honest. Every place narrows the answer. No place finishes it. Arguing from where you stand changes nothing.

Then you climb. From above, nothing is hidden. It is an 8. The test did not depend on where anyone stood. That is what a test is. Step 3 takes it further.

Every Try it on the walk

For a class, or for you. Each links to its step.

  1. Draw a big 6. Put it between you and someone else. Ask them what it is. Step 1
  2. Turn the 8 above. Write down what you can rightly claim from each place you stand. Step 2
  3. Each of you says what the top of the number will look like. Then look from above. Step 3
  4. Think of a time you were sure and wrong. What story had you fitted to the dots? Step 4
  5. Find a forecast or a horoscope. Does it say what would prove it wrong? Step 5
  6. Write three things you are sure will happen tomorrow. For each, what are you trusting? Step 6
  7. Follow the argument in nine steps. At each, ask: does this follow from the one before? Step 7
  8. Look at one row of onereality.global’s scoreboard. What did the prediction risk? What would have killed it? Step 8
  9. Say out loud: “Nothing is being read right now.” Notice what just happened. Step 9
  10. Pick one thing you believe because someone told you. Who? An A source or a B source? Step 10
  11. Read one kill switch on the420code.org. Has any authority you know written down what would prove it wrong? Step 11
  12. Choose one institution you deal with. Write one way it would change if it had to say what would prove it wrong. Step 12
